Sponsorship

I have to write a paper in my english class on "How to..." do something. I was going to do how to get sponsored. I know there was a few articles on the wakeboarding sites about how to, but i can't find them. Can anyone help me out? Thanks! Jen

For some companies you write them a letter with like a 200 word limit on why you think you would be a good canaidate for them to sponsor. You just talk about what you are doing for the wakeboarding scene in your area, contests you are in, teams, etc. This is for more of the entry level sponsorships.

Others they want to see you ride and see the results that you are on the podium at contests. I know that for getting sponsors like boat and board companies that a few of my friends have told me that they request videos of their riding be sent to them. In your report, spell it sponsored and your grade will be a little better.

I think Josh Cantor wrote an article on this topic for either Wakeboarder.com or Wakeworld.com. I can't remember which...but he did a good job outlining what the approach should be.
