Hey , i was thinking about getting a cheap car that needs a lilte work that i can fix and then add some perf mods to it. Anyways i was looking in the Auto trader and saw a 96 Chevrolet Cavalier, 2 door , 5 spd, good cond inside and out, but it has 180,000 miles on it. But its pretty Cheap at only 900 US. Does anybody have experience with this car? Is that too many miles? I can do most work my self so if something does go wrong i can fix it as long as it is not too big.

Thanks

my friend has a '95 Cavalier. its a great car, works fine. it has about 170,000miles. but the one you want may be having some problems. 900 seems kind of cheap

why dump money into a cheap car for performance mods? why be 'that guy'? take the performance mods $$ and get a better car.

if it is just because it is cold and you are bored I guess thats cool. if it is your primary vehicle it is illogical.

Good thing u didnt buy the cav cause if u did u would have to drop a new engine in that...Something much bigger. With mods 2 it,thats not gonna do much at all...Theres so many around here its sickning considering they think there so fast cause of there intakes and exhaust when those dont do much...
