i'll keep ridin this dope ass board...just like i'll keep ridin my dope ass kampus. unlike some...i dont have one 'brand' stuck up my @ss. each board has its advantages and provides a different ride. if i cant do a trick on a board, ill try harder, get better, and have a good time.

Hyperlite could make a binding out of toothpicks and silly putty and most people on this forum would say it is "badass" and "when can I get one?"

When are people going to see that they are all gimmicks. Case in point....04 Byerly. You have got to be kidding me.

the 04 byerly does look like a can opener ready to rip into someones calf muscle and leave it laying for fish bait. it would be nice for when u bring bud on the boat. maybe thats what they had in mind. ahh, i guess ill have to ride one before i rip on it....

For real B_Funk! CWB only makes products that work, yo! The new capped fin system on the Prodigys is so innovative! Only Connelly could conceive something so grand.

Ahhh.. Connelly Wakeboards...

Anyways...

I f*cked around with one of the prototype Gates in July (Didn't ride it)

Hated the very feel of the thing. The design screamed of mini wakeboard to me. It just felt like a wakeboard with spoilers on each end to me.

Not a fan.

I saw another of those byerlys break this weekend. Same thing that happened to JD Webb. The can opener got caught up and ripped the tail off. Laughing

i doubt doubt kampus or mutiny or even cassette will make kicktails on any of there boards, although i was able to ollie alot easier it wasent alot higher, and the landings were really sketchy. plus it would be hard for them to make kicktails on wood skates and i dont see cassette making compresion molded skates.

The term 'mini wakeboard' may seem played out, but there is a reason it's being used...

If I remember correctly, that'd be Erich and his velcro shoes.

Thing was... That was on a REAL wakeboard. If Hype wants to go back to the mid to late 90's with their design, good on them. Just don't anyone call them revolutionary.

BTW, when I refere to the term 'mini wakeboard', it doesn't mean made out of foam, as some may think. The Hype's just have a distinct 'small wakeboard feel' to them.

"To Each His Own"....

I think the Gate has some sick features, and I also think the Mutiny has some amazing features... I'd personally probably go with the Mutiny, but the kicktail is defiinitely something that I'd want to look into...
