The cd burner on my computer is messed and i need to burn some cd's. Whenever i try to burn a cd it will say that like it is reading it and then it will say burning and then at 8% it spits the cd out. And there is nothing on the cd. I checked and the program is properly installed on the comp and everything is hooked up to the burner. Also once it spits the cd out , the cd is then garbage. thanks
Btw- it is a hp cd writer plus 7200 series _________________ Ontario Rider

you may be exceeding the buffer. make sure you have PLENTY of free disk space (it uses free space to buffer with). Also, try burning in its slowest setting and see if your percentage improves.

My burner was doing that the other day, so I just reinstalled the program and it started working fine.

How old is your burner and what sofware do you use to burn CDs? Can you read already properly created CDs?

Check HP's website and you should be able to search the issue in their help section. I am sure it would be more efficient and helpful than just bland advice I could give. You may need a driver update, etc. _________________ My opinion is my opinion!
