yeah i saw there lame ass wakeskating ad on TV. I hate nautica and all those preppy clothes. There just trying to make money off a radical lifestyle and it makes me sick. There trying to make it so some faggot ass preps can say HEY I WEAR GAY ASS NAUTICA SO I WAKESKATE. If i ever saw a guy supporting nautica and wakebaording or wakeskating i would kick there ass. 666 BLAH! Keepin the scene ALIVE!

I realize that you all think that it might be a gay brand of clothing, which I dont dispute, but Im sure Grubby did that commercial to bring attention to the sport, everyone has to make some sacrifices to further their sport. If you all talk about getting your wakeskating in X games and things like that your going to have to make it more well known, im sure every extreme sport has had its cheesy moments.

Thanks...
I just think that at such an early point in the sports progression everyone should do anything they can to promote it

Actually, I'd say there is a good chance he did it for the cash...

But I'm sure the promotion of the sport factored in there SOMEWHERE.

I know for a fact that it wasn't all about the money. It probably factored in there some where, but Brian has taken it upon himself to expose wakeskating to as many people as possible, and I respect him a ton for that. Before wakeskating was a paid event on the tour, he had been doing wakeskate demos for a year and a half (for free).

I was able to meet him at one of the hype demos and he was so down to spread wakeskating any way that he could. Anyway, brian works really hard for wakeskating and He deserves ever positive thing that comes out of it.

Yep, "she" is right. But it's not like you would know so it's not a big deal or anything.

Russian, it just so happens that grubby is the per-tiest (say it with a southern drawl) wakeboarder there is!

Ay dios mio!

I've met Grubb. He's a nice guy that goes all out to learn and try new things on his skate. But don't think for a second that wasn't about the $$$$! If they came to him with a crap deal he wouldn't have taken it. I'm sure there were other company's offering sponsorship. And I'm sure it was a lot of money...

I don't know Grubb well enough to make a judgement as to whether or not it was all about the money. What I said in my previous post came from the horse's mouth, so to speak. I don't want to say too much more, but I'm sure you'll all be able to read about it at some point in time.
