|
|
Hi
We've a 03 x-2 and sometimes, the middle fat sac won't fill, even after the two tanks in the back are full and the water comes out on the side of the boat. It also won't fill by driving slow or fast...just no water in it.
What could be the problem?
thx

I would open up the middle locker and make sure your line isnt pinched or bent to block the flow and if that doesnt do it check to see if your has shut off valves,
I had a kink in mine and it was not filling all the way...sooo I moved around some of the fill line and it works perfect now. The new systmes are 200% better than the older KGB system mine works perfect now, compared to my 01 X-Star. good luck.

I have an 00XStar that kinked all the time. I removed all stock hoses/connections.
Then I ran the fiber reinforced clear pvc tubing only long enough to cover the connections. So, each piece is only around 2 inches long. Working great now.

Thx a lot for your replies...so I'll take the stuff appart and have a look.
Do you think that the length of the hoses could be the reason for the problem?
Does anyone has a graphic of how they've connected the stuff and of how the water flows and where the pump(s) are located?
If not, I'll try to pull one out...for further use

| I have an 03 X-30, had it in for some recall work on the gas lines and scheduled maintenance a couple weeks back and my mechanic asked me if I had any problems filling my ballasts because they have had some bad pumps on some of the MC's ballast systems, to bring it in if I notice any problems with it and they would fix it. Just an FYI, not sure what your problem might be, but thought I would pass along his comments. Good luck.

Mastercraft and their ballast pumps... ARGH!!!!!
My 02 X-10, had problems, and the recalled the impellar, which kind of solved the problem until the pump died... you would think that they would be able to produce a system that would not have any issues, after all the complaints from the previous models!!!

I called to get replacement impeller for my center ballast because of the problem in the pic below. Service guy told me something about a recall on the impeller but didn't know details. I also found sharp kink in center ballast hose between manifold and pump. Could the 2 be related? Maybe starving impeller of water hardened it and made it brittle? Other 2 pump impellers are fine (and pliable). I'd definitely check all the lines for sharp bends. I'm adding 90 deg elbows to solve my problem.
