FIRST TIME RIDE WAS GREAT!!

rode a wakeskate for the first time. It was awesome. I decided to ride my cassette 43 concave finless. I like the way it rides. While i was riding i learned the following tricks:

fs/bs butterslides
fs/bs lipslides
lipslide to fakie
bs shuvits
fs 180 ollie
bs surface 3
hs wake jumps

so stoked... cant wait to go out and ride again

got good wakeboarding and skateboarding background

and i took my skate on the trampoline to get the hang of shuvits and kickflips lol

yeah I couldnt believe how much it helps popping ollies and spinning shuvits on the trampoline, I still cant stomp them but it did offer up much better board control.

heheh thanks..

what should i try next? I have an idea for some lipslide shuvits and maybe try lipslide 270 shuvit.

I tried a body variel once but that didnt work out(next trick ill learn i think)
surface 3 landed 1rst try
180 ollie landed 1rst try
shuvit took me like 4-5, but when i landed it, i stomped it perfect

I went to wakeboard camp and in 3 days learned all that and surface 720's, body varials, hit kickers, grabs off kickers, and hit a decent sized slider. (yellow slider at TSR)

Sorry to be the grouch here but I would like to clear up some things for first time skaters and naming tricks.

While sliding the lip of the wake if your butt faces the wake your trick is backside if your knees face the lip your slide is frontside

While sliding the lip of the wake if the nose of your board goes over the lip first it is called a boardslide if your tail of the board goes over first then it is a lipslide.

I dont know if you knew that and that is what you meant but I thought I would clear it up because if you learned a fs and bs lipslide then you probably learned a fs and bs boardslide also.

yeah, i knew that

but i thought it is always called a lipslide if it is on the crest of the wake. Boardslide sounds gay on the wake. "yeah i can boardslide the wake"

it just keeps everything simple by calling it all the same. You just act as if the lip is a rail that you are hitting.

Im not trying to be mean or anything its just that if I was saying something wrong then I would want someone to tell me. I didnt bash him I just tried to help him with the termonology. I would feel stupid if I went up to someone and said "yeah man i can do that twisty thing with a little flip kinda thing" At least now he knows what he is talking about (if he didnt already) and he can acurately tell people what he is learning.

hey..... watched soem video and for you info, i was doin lipslides...

cutting in toeside and whipping my tail over the wake for a FS lipslide
