I finally am starting to hit W2W consistently, but my question is this. I orgiinally wasn't able to hit it until i shortened the rope down to about 60 ft. All my friends can hit it at 65 ft, btw, this is without the handle, add the handle in and you got another close to 5 ft. My question is this, I've been riding behind a '00 Xstar and I've seen in the video "the faction" they also use xstars, and it seems like they are riding at like 70 or 75 ft? How is the wake still so big at that rope length?? I've noticed that if I ride at 70 or 75 the wake is all washy. The actual sweet spot of the wake doesnt'r eally start until 65 or so. Why is this? And is me hitting it at 60 that bad? Or should I really be hitting it at 65. Am i losing air because of that? Thanks!

To put your rope at 75 feet you need to go faster 24-26. And no hitting the wake at 60 is fine you will get more air the further back you go but thta is a good distance for beginers.

THe reason the wake is still good at that length is the fact that they weight the boat down a lot more than you. You should ride at the length that you are riding at and as you progress and start landing in the flats, it is time to move out. Also don't be a "one waker" and forget to jump toeside. Also don't worry about sacking the boat out until you have enough control. Just remember to keep it simple until you have enough control to sack up and move out.
