I don't know about too much speed. The key is to be going your fastest right as you hit the wake. Take your cut slow and progessively gain speed as you cut. You the wake as a ramp to jump. _________________ keep it real |

| to add onto wakeboardstud25... when you get to the wake you want to be at the hardest point of your cut, with the most load on the line. You want to keep cutting all the way through the wake, dont come off edge. Stand tall at the wake also and dont allow your knees to absorb the pop. |

I'm having the same problem.
I've been getting some tips from people I bored with and so far they are helping but my biggest problem seems to be loading and pop.
I'm as lite as a feather....I keep expecting to be thrown in the air, but instead I hardly get up. I can almost clear the wake but not with the air I should have.
I watch some of the big guys I bored with fly 6 or 7 feet in the air with no problem.
CAN ANYONE HELP WITH ADVICE?
Two pieces of advice that helped a little, were to not cut as quickly...pause for a moment and don't start edging hard until you feel the rope start to pull again, and hold your edge all of the way through..Then jump at the very top of the wake. Not before the wake. Which is what I was doing wrong.
It felt much more natural once I did hit the top of the wake and the front of the board was pointing up rather then down for the crash.
Oh and one last and very strong piece of advice I was given. "Get a set of brass balls!!" Just go for it!
I'm sure you already have a set but for me, this just pushed me to show him I had a set.
If anyone does have advice on how I can really get good pop, I would love to hear it.
Thanks

no, no. Don't jump at all, stay on edge and stand tall (meaning straighten your knees) the wake will push you into the air, you don't need to jump. _________________ ...say goodbye |

Stand tall all the way through?
Never bend your knees and push off?
Wow now I need to try that. I think I'll be out tomorrow.
I'll let you know how it goes.

You bend your knees until you get to the wake, stand tall on edge at the top of the wake. _________________ ...say goodbye |

You do want to straighten your legs and kinda push off heartofbullets just meants you dont want to physically jump like you would on the groun. By holding your edge all the way up the wake and straightening your legs while still holding your edge(dont just let off your edge and stand tall you want to still be leaning against the boat when you stand tall or you loose your pop). _________________ www.krookedminds.com

| you want to keep the rope TIGHT AT ALL TIMES and it helps me alot if realy bend my knees and sit down, its all about proggressive edge, when you get to wake stand up quickly but dont jump and keep the handled close to your front hip (if you are holding the handle towards your back hip your edging too much) when you stand up you stil want to continue to edge you just dont edge as hard |
