What is the key to bringing the board back under you? Is it just pulling the rope into your knees? I can get full extension with the board behind me but haven't been able to get it back under me yet to land. It has been the most unforgiving falls. Inverts are so much easier.

I cant land one yet but i have a lot of friends that can and have been on the boat while someone learned one so i might have some suggestions.... you have to cut into the wake pretty hard but dont go to fast that you cant control yourself. while edgeing into the wake keep your back straight and lower you but down while leaning away from the boat with quite a bit of force. When you hit the wake keep your butt down and back straight, if you edge correctly the board should get kicked out behind you. while in the air keep your eyes on the tower or inside the boat or the horizon infront of you, etc. once you get the full extension then pull your elbows into you waist and keep your arms and legs bent for the landing. Hope it helps. Confused

A raley is a very simple move once you get it down. Cut out as far as you can and progressively build your speed into the wake so when you release from the wake your body will naturally want to fly back assuming you put your arms out in front of you and relax your body. Assuming you have edged all the way through the wake when your body gets all the way back the rope will almost have a snap affect. When you feel that snap you want to pull rope into your lower body to bring your board back underneith you. The landing will take some time. When you first learn you normally bring the board back underneith you to earlier and land on the board and normally fall back onto you butt. If you do what I have said and don't freak out when you get in the superman position and calmly pull the rope to your lower body you will get this trick. Good Luck!

Trent27:

Get huge air on my raleys, pull board back under me and land almost perfectly, but board slipping out and landing on my arss just like you said. How do I keep the board from slipping out? I feel like I am bringing the board back under me way too fast and the speed of the board hitting the water makes it almost impossible to stick. Thanks
