do you simply turn your front foot 90 degrees by kicking one feet out? I tend to have trouble tweaking the board.

Ok, it can be a pretty difficult trick since you are trying to change the direction of the board so quickly. Wait until you pop off the wake and get some air. Once you have plenty of air, push your back foot towards the back of the boat. Pull the handle some with your back hand, as this will help. Once you have it there, pull with your front hand and turn your hips back in the direction you are going. You may want to start with a little shifty then work up as you get used to the change in direction. Hope that helps.

Good tips, Tiff. To make it even more simple, take your leading hip and turn it towards the boat, while keeping the handle in front of you.

Jumalian,
I cant't pickture that, isn't your lead hip already forward toward the boat, advancing it more brings the rear leg away, no?

Your leading hip should be heading towards the opposite shore on a normal jump.

come on kiddies its just a little shake and bake move..........when you do the first one 180 make sure you don't pull the handle cuz you might have to give it a yoink to get back to your original stance.....it would kinda be like blowing your load early Razz and thats a bad thing....

to pratice it do it a little at a time don't try to do the full 180 on the first shot

Tiffany:

Thanks for the tip. So let me get it straight, should I think of it as kicking my front foot out 90 degrees like pushing your front hip towards the boat while pulling with the backhand and coming back?

Anyway, will give that a try. BTW, I like your site and we don't get that much info. in HONG KONG on wakeboarding for girls.

This weekend, my girlfriend had a terrible accident doing inland surf on her landlock... we were going slow and she lost balance and the board instantly flew up and cut open her forehead. She was a tough girl toughing it out with a few stitches and it made me all the more appreciative of organizations promoting this sports for girls.

Thanks. Maybe next time around, I could post some pix on my gallery in wakepix to let you give riders in Hong Kong a few good tips.
