McElhinney Camp

Thinking about dropping some dough on a camp, because I feel like I'm stuck. I know some of you have been to camps around Texas, so what all takes place. Do you do drills, watch videos, just curious?

I feel like I'm stuck in a rut, and need some help getting to the next level. Besides the McElhinney camp, and TWC does anyone else have any suggestions in the Texas area. And yes, I've searched though the site for other info, but haven't seen anything too recent.

Tyson, Mcelhinney Wakeboard School is just that, it is a school not a camp. We offer incredible conditions for serious riders who have already been to camp and are now ready to step it up a notch. You will not be here with 30 other kids jumping on a tramp and playing video games waiting for your 20 min. set on the water. There is a 4 person max per set and each set is a complete 3 hours on the water before you get back to the dock. You are either in the water or in the boat with professional instruction by Pat McElhinney each and every time. We offer 7 miles of butter and Super Air Nautiques. Pat is a great guy and a great instructor! I've known him since like '95 - '96 and I've never heard a negative word said about him or his school. A couple of buddies and I drove down from Indiana about 6 years ago to spend a week with him and it helped tremendously. I had spent the previous year trying to learn a back roll on my own (never landing one), and the first day we were there, he had me sticking back rolls consistently.

Definately give Pat's school a shot.

I've heard a lot of good things about the mcelhinney school, may have to give it a try myself. I know a lot of people up here in the dallas area have gotten private instruction from Brian Sasser, supposed to be really good also, but not a camp just meet at the lake. There is more info about him on Dallaswakeboarding.com . There was also a thread about some guys in Austin with a house on the lake, but thats all I can remember.

I dont know though.....teaching an Aggie is hard for anyone! haha

Tyson, there is a wakesk8 clinic being put on tmr over in the beaumont area... its bein put on by Josh Steele a rider from Kampus ... then saturday Cliff McInnis a pro rider from houston might be puttin on a bit of a wakeboard camp ... u should e-mail PFSTX@aol.com to see if there are ne spots yet if interested .. last Iheard we still had room for 2 or 3 people .. and its only gonna be 10 peeps at the camp so alot of water time forsure

I've heard good things about them also. I always see pat riding in the showdowns at TSR. Not too shabby.
