Being as it is already July 31 and summer will quickly end. As being new to this sport is there winter wake boarding. Cause down here in Texas our lakes don't really freeze over but it does get really cold.... Am i crazy to want to wake board year round cause i really don't think it will be that much of a big deal with a wet suit on. But i really have never tried it. so i dunno

yes there is winter riding. there are a lot fewer people that are on the water in the winter, which is why i generally like to ride in the winter. there are MUCH less crazy people, and generally speaking the only people dumb enough to brave the cold water and cold weather are people that know what they are doing.
get a drysuit or wetsuit, find a crew, and keep riding.... _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

yeah lots of people here in washington ride year round, i would but i dont know those who do and my parents put our boat in dry storage.
Otherwise i'd love to.
Maybe i'll try and hook up with some people.
Its always sad to see the summer end though cuz with the end of summer comes an end to warm weather, wakeboarding, and women in skimpy bikinis:( _________________ Alaska: Where the men are men and the women are men. |

there arew different wetsuits for different tempuratures, the normal is a 3-2 which is 3 mm on the lower body and 2 mm on the upper body, which is what you rpobablly have, and there is a 4-3, and a 5-4 and a drysuit(ou learn a thing or two about wetsuits when you surf ) _________________ La Jolla kicks a$$, its the best place in the world |

wakeboarder rez, I would rather have a bulky drysuit and smooth water than some of the crap I have seen happen on the delta in the summer months. I haven't been to the delta in 3 months and haven't really got to many good runs in at the lake. But I know come fall the water will be OURS again and I can ride hard then. For now it's budlight and wakesurfing at the lake _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

Early spring and late fall are where it's at here it UT. All the clowns are off the lake and it's butter all the time. That's when I have the best sessions. Nothing like 38 degree water and 50 degree air temp. You get used to riding in a drysuit.
Russian- you're right on track w/beers and wakesurfing. If it weren't for the landlock I'd be awfully pissed off trying to ride. |

The whole summer i have only gotten one day where the water was pretty much glass. Usually its pretty smooth but has rollers the whole time. Agh that pisses me off. This is my first season wakeboarding but i am looking forward to wakeboarding in the Fall since i like in souther Louisiana it doesnt get cold till october/november _________________ www.krookedminds.com
