While it seems everywhere in the US is flooding, we can't buy a drop of rain.
We have enough water in the lake to ride from tower two to tower five. You start in the mud and end in the mud. In between it varies from 12 inches to about 60 inches.
Some day we hope to make an entire lap!

I didn't even know Kansas City had a cable park. Sucks that there's no water now. We've been getting rain almost every week.

If I could, I'd send you some of our rain, would you like that with or without the lightning?

I didn't know you guys were up and operating this season. Looks like I may have to make a trip to KC.

Unfortunately, we are not operating this year. The spot where this pic was taken is about 8 feet below what will be the actual water level. It has only rained more than an inch two times since we built the lake. We could not have picked a worse year to build a lake. Hopefully this pattern will change![/img]

Man that sucks! I've been waiting and waiting to make the trip. I hope your luck gets better. I see now why you don't bother updating your web site. It would get old typing "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", "waiting for rain", and so on!

The big mound of dirt in the middle will be an island. We planted the "island" with wildflowers, but they don't seem to want to grow without..........rain..

josh, it's just like little kids and buckets of water... they could drown if they fell face first into it... then again I guess a vest wouldn't really help huh? Surprised

Speaking of all the rain and lightning...we went to the river yesterday and had one of those moments when all of a suddent it gets dark and 3 in the afternoon so we headed back to the dock. Right as we pulled the boat out of the water a transformer was struck by lightning across the parking lot. It blew about 20 times and set all the grass around it on fire. It was the coolest thing I have seen in a long time but my white butt was crawling back to the car.

He wouldn't be able to stand up if he got knocked out by hitting his head on the slider or something.,.

speaking of no rain...WA hasn't had a drop of rain in well over a month. We were in the upper 90's all last week...looks like it might rain this week or next. We need it BAD! My lake is pretty low (the ramp to the dock is almost in the water). WA is in deep stuff people....can anyone rmember what happened to CA last summer? Thats what its gonna be like next summer for us! AAAHHHHHH...please rain!

Honestly, he should be wearing a vest, even in waist deep water. He is at least wearing a helmet. For what ever it is worth, the guy taking the pic is an experienced life guard. In addition the guy running the cable is a firefighter.
