we dont have a professional ski boat w/tower, etc.... but we have become addicts and figured we'd work with what we had (boatwise and budgetwise)...so we installed a 4.5 ft plyon..... in total i would say we are pulling from abt 5 ft above the surface after factoring in the deck of the boat and the pylon itself......so whats the WORD? is thi gonna seriously inhibit air, etc....we may get a 9 ft pylon one day and upgrade...for now its great while we learn, but i am thinking at some point we will need more air and not sure if we will get it off a 4-5 ft pylon??..or is it more how you hit the wake???....in short, will we get 6-7 ft of air with this setup eventually????

the pylons you buy are only 7ft, yours should be good enough. Your height depends on how you hit the wake and how big your wake is. do you have any extra weight in the boat?

You should be able to get 6 or 7 feet up if you do hit the wake correctly. We ride behine a pilon and since we don't have any ballast in the boat we just take my buddy's innertube and fill it up with water and sit it in the back of the boat. It probably adds 5-700 pounds. It is not really easy to emptly but it gets the job done. It would be better if we had some kinda pump. another option is getting some of your large friends that have no desire to wakeboard to just come and hang out in the back of the boat.

if you put sand and rocks in a cooler make sure it has wheels so you dont have to empty it to carry it
