Hi guys,
and sorry - I presented more or less this question already in common discussion forum, I should have done it here instead.
My boat is just a 5 meter boat with 50 hp 4S outboard with 200 kg's of extra weigh. So this means no huge wake there!
I can pull quite nice and high jumps, also 180's and 360's, backscrathers etc. I'm determined to accomplish my first invert now.
Now, I've been trying to do a very small (and fast - kind aggressive) back roll as I have once seen a experienced guy doing this with a small wake.
First, I'm not 100 % sure about the name of this trick but some one said it's back roll.
I've learned from web that a back roll can be done small but I have only seen videos taken from big and airy backrolls.
I'm now trying this in following way:
-closing wake carving with heelside deep in water
-looking over front shoulder for landing spot
-just at wake I'm bowing my upper body forward to begin a fast backroll
being as a rather small package
-trying to keep the handle in the middle of this package
After trying this for 30-50 times my back behind the forward shoulder is completely black because of water shots...
I'm not giving in cause it's so close. The driver says I could have made it couple of times if I just didn't let the handle.
Is it really a small backroll that I'm trying and describing above?
Any comments or hints on this....?
I'll appreciaty any thoughts or help!
Thanks,
mike |
