Today I demoed a 2003 Hyperlite Premier 140 DNA with Byerly bindings and I am SOLD on it! I've demoed other Hyperlite boards, and I've never been as happy after riding as I was today. Perfect board, not too mellow, not too agressive, just right. I'm gonna buy one as soon as I can. I'm super stoked, just thought I'd let everyone know

| The byerly will trash your knees, the landings suck, but I agree the pop will kick your but. I love the premier

The Liquid Force Substance has the premier beat by miles in my opinion.
Much faster, pops smoother and lands easier. Try it for yourself and see.

The substance is definitely a good board and worth checking out. It seems to be a little faster and pops better than the premier. However the premier is the board for me. I like a board that tracks a little more and the substance was just a little too loose for my taste.
I have been riding the same premier for 3 years and I am considering getting a new one but don't know if it is really justified to get a new one considering they haven't changed the shape since it came out. Is the DNA worth the extra cash? Does a board really loose its snap/pop?

is the premier we buy in stores and online the same exact shape and board that harf rides? Or do the pro's get a better version i.e. better rocker?

| Josh Hrdy, have you ridden the DNA, it makes the board feel totally different. The pop is different, its more responsive. It weighs less(not much though) and its now stronger...

i dotn think the extra $100 is worth it for the DNA, i've ridden it and i dont see how it would vary that terribly much over the biolite

| I ride a 2002 140 Biolite Premier with LF Ultras...great board!!! I've demo'd the Parks 138, Gator Gonzales and some Origin boards and nothing compares to the Premier. The Gonzales was close though. I interested in how the Byerly rides...any input???

im looking for my next board and i was looking at the byerly, i really like being locked into the water, but if you leave the center fin on the premeire does it hold well? if so thats the baord for me.

Carl S., the boards that the pros ride are exactly the same as the ones you can buy in stores.

jedama1210, yes with the center fin the board holds very well.
Carl S., it is the same board, if the pro wants more rocker than that board is produced for everyone with more rocker.

the byerly has larger molded fins than the premier. If you take the fins off of both of the boards, the byerly will hold better than the premier. But the premier will be much more forgiving than the byerly.
