Here is the deal...

6'4" 230 lbs

Pretty comfortable behind the boat with "upper beginner" skills.

Yea its early but I want to jump into inverts.

Which is the best (easiest) flip to start with? In my head, I have done a Tantrum one million times. It just seems to be the most effortless invert. Am I on the right track?

hey man, all you gotta do is look down the page and you'll see several threads asking the exact same thing.
To answer your question though, a backroll is most likely the easiest invert. Its the first one i've tried and I landed it after a few attempts, probably about 12 or so.

Yea, but I figured that the 6'4" angle needed to be addressed. That kind of height only helps in B-ball. I figured there had to be a few inverts I need to stay away from due to my size.

Thanks for the input!

if you get enough pop off the wake and keep your hands in close you will rotate fast and high enough in the air to get around. I'm 6' and the first few times I was not getting around but it was only becuase i wasn't popping enough and wasn't rotating correctly.

your height shouldn't be a problem. if you're more comfortable with a tantrum, then go for it. but, try them both...

yes a backroll is by far the easiest invert, you shouldnt have too much trouble with it. i dunno but for me, it doesnt help me at all to just go through the trick in my head, cuz i do that with all kinds of tricks and think, "hey, that isnt even that hard", then i get out behind the boat(which sux) and i psych myself out and end up not doing it. just dont think, just do it.
