no not that type of gas, I'm dreading filling the boat this year with prices already sky high, 1.60/gal expensive fun.....I would rather have an inboard, but with prices that high the I/O will be easier on the pocketbook

by March when we are in the beginning stages of war the prices might not come down that fast but they should peak out and eventually drop.... they are already talking about it on the news...
How the US is waiting till the beginning of March before they start war so the holy day/week thing is over and the full moon is gone... we like to fight with night vision.
I would like some x-ray vision myself...LOL....

it was sweet here for a while. there were gas wars when walmart got a gas bar so they kept on lowering gas prices. it got as low as 54.9/ L it was pretty sweet _________________ "stupidity will kill you!"

That 54cents/L is really low. Normally it's more like 70cents/L, which is 1.70 dollars/gallon US.

I'm on the TX/LA border......I ride on the Sabine River a few miles before it feeds into Toledo Bend.....sweet butter.... Rayburn is good for tubing, but I have yet to find a smooth cove that was over 4 ft deep there.....If you are ever in the area, check out the river, but shhhhh don't tell anyone.....what brings you, fishing?

Last year i went through around $35 for a weekend of riding, and we didn't really ride as much as I would like. This year is going to be a lot harder on the wallet. But it's worth it. _________________ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin

The secret is to invite your buddies to go so they can chip in for gas. Just wear your T-shirt that says.... "This boat runs on gas, not thank you".

Christy, some of the guys I ride with chip in, but most of my friends / family that end up riding with us are conveniently broke. I guess I am just too nice sometimes. I never ask for gas money, but if people offer I take it. If there wasn't such a shortage of thirds here, i might be a little tougher on the $$ issue, but if they can't afford it, I still want to ride, so I need them. _________________ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin

MadDog.... Yea, we run into the same thing. We usually have a lot more family out on the boat. Family hardly ever offers to help with gas. We used to hang with a friend on the lake, and always took turns gassing the boat. Now he never comes out.... guess I'll have to order hubby one of those t-shirts for the family to take a hint.
