i was on of the firsts on the lake and me and my friend learned by our selves we never tried n e thing till last year and that was only a 180 now i gotta 360, in my 3rd season up in new york how long did it take you to progress?

it took me about a season to get 180s n grabs down. now in my 3rd season i'm landing 360s n tantrums. i almost have a backroll down.

It depends on your board sport back ground.
If you surf, sk8 and snowboard you will pick the trick part up fast once you figure out the basic wakeboarding concept behind a boat. I was a snowboarder for 6 years before I even tried wakeboarding.

I'm older and take a more cautious approach to learning tricks, I like to progress into harder and harder stuff. I'm basically in my 5th season of riding and can honestly say now that I'm learning more inverts the other tricks are coming faster and faster. I'm glad I took the time to learn proper technique from both sides of the wake from the get go.

ive been riding a few seasons but i ride behind a 13 foot outboard with 50 horsepower and a 3 foot pylon so its a real set back as far as progression goes but i can pretty much do a backflip indy grab now
