I installed my own tower lights and I used fishing line (that is the only time fishing gear will be on my boat!!) with a sinker on the end and just fed it down the tower to the hole at the base. Then I used neddle nose plyers to grab the fishing line. Then I used duct tape and taped it to the wire and have one person feed the wire and another person to pull the line. It worked for me?? Good luck. _________________ 2003 Malibu Wakesetter LSV |

tie dental floss or fishing line to the speaker wires. Drop the string or floss into a hole and suck it through with a vacuum cleaner on the other end. Then pull your line until the speaker wire comes through.

I used to wire trailers through tubing. We used welding wire from a MIG wire feed welder. You can make it as long as you want. Just make a hook on the end and presto! You should be able to pick some up for free at any welding shop.

Jon method works great. I did the same thinig last winter only I used a light nylon masons line. Feed the line throught the top hole and that way gravity will help along with the suction to get it down. It works like a champ.

I drilled the two holes and then tied a piece of metal to the string ( I used a long, narrow screw). Then I fed the string thru the hole at the top and used a magnet on the outside of the tower aluminum tubing to guide the screw to the vertical part of the tower. From there, gravity did the rest.

The Vac/String thing is a old networking trick. Great for towers, or industrial buildings that have tubes to run wire thru but are 400 ft long. String on the tennis ball, gimme the SHOP VAC!!! _________________ KG
