does anyone ride in this area

I was wondering the same thing. we are headed to Panama city beach this friday. we will be there for a week. I would like to find a place where I could take a 1/2 day lesson. Are there any pros who teach in this area? How about private lakes? We are going to chill on the beach and I hope that the tropical storm heads towards us. We want to do a little surfing.

there are no pros teaching in the area. I ride in the bay. There is lake powell near the west end of panama city beach. and deerpoint lake which is in deerpoint/southport about 30 minutes from panama city. I think there are a few small lakes in the destin/ft.walton/p-cola area, but I'm not familiar with them.

I think there is a compatition out at deerpoint this coming weekend, it's could have been last weekend though, I'm not sure.

Yeah two weeks ago i was in destin i rode in the bay. I didnt hardly see anyone out there at all. The water was really really shallow too. I dont know where there are any lakes around there. Just the bay.
