Yeah me neither, I like the handle to have slack and be forgiving b/c my hands are rarely where they need to be in the air. I thought the Belmont was too stiff w/ the torsion bars, that Parks looks like something you hook to a weight machine!

But thats all preference, and thats a SUPER nice handle, so congrats!!

Looks good. I'm curious too how stiff it will be. I thought that would work against you in some way. Handle is tight though.

I had a chance to use the Carbon handle from HL ,not the parks-the smoothe grip one,and i actually was impressed with it .It is very very light ,you almost cant tell your holding it and it floats well and feels right as far as size .MY other favorite handle was the Harf handle but i may be picking a carbon up this year sometime. The only negative was the paint on my buddies fell and hit the ground and chipped badly .It shouldnt have but i can imagine if it hits the board on falls it will do the same as well as maybe put some nice dings in the board if it makes contact..

Overall a really nice handle

Differences-
think about a handle-pass, how your wrists rotate. Well the stiff torsion handles are hard to control unless you keep them straight with the line (which IS the ideal thing to do). If you are holding the handle at an angle and the line tension catches up, the handle whips real hard to get back in line. Handles like the Byerly stay more loose and feel more forgiving b/c you can always work with them and use the slack to your advantage. Its a prefence thing, like I said I sometimes ride sloppy so the Byerly helps me to compensate for my flying hands/wrists.

I can't see spending 140 for a handle. To be honest the handles I like the most are the crappy rubber ones at OWC. It has good grip, the only problem is the blisters, but you build up calusses after a while.

THat handle is really cool. Possibly the best looking carbon handle ive seen. I just recieved the new accurate catalog and checked out the new line. They make me want to scrap my straightline spectra handle with the foam floaters on the sides thats for damn sure. But the whole sloppiness issue is interesting...

How does paying 140$ for a handle make it any better? There's nothing great about the handle at all if you ask me.

this is a responce to J_DOGG...... My parks handle came w/o the wrap handle. I know for a fact they are out their. My shop is cd ski & sports in ft. worth tx.(probably dosent matter though)...... anyways keep checkin your local store..... And you can replace the leading rope.... Look at the pics you notice the black slip on the top of the handle.... that plastic piece will slide up.. from there you can replace it. Smile

why did you pay so much money for a handle? how does the handle help your riding ability. i mean different hand grip preference maybe, but they're pretty much all 15' wide, you hold them all the same way but you can still pay 3 times as much as a base model. ??????? what the

For everyone who is asking why so much...It is a carbon handle,so Its WAY lighter, its also a new design and stuff, sothe blow the price up the first year. If you wait til next year it'll be the same thing for less because it wont be as "special"

I have a belmont and wouldnt trade it for anything...

Well carbon is light and stiff. If you use non stretch rope why not use a stiff handle as well.

i used it today and it kicks ass. i didn't really try that many 3's. my friend was trying HS 3's and he was coming really close. he said that the handle helped.u can bareky tell that ur holding on to a handle. i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
O and the wrapped isn't affect too much by the stiffness of the handle.

It's made lighter and since it is solid it makes it easier to do handle passes.

I still havent tried one. But you guys are right 140 is steep for a handle. im sure its got its pros and cons but in the end its just like the new thing. its like sporting a new pair of adidas when they come out. then again the carbon fiber is a bit expensive on material. try not to whack yourself in the head or feet with that thing. but let me know how it holds up. i got a feeling preety soon people will start complaining about it getting cracks somewhere.
