Going out today... Quick question w/ the backroll

ok... I know how do the backroll. It will be my first time trying it, but I don't really understand how you "let the board float behind you" a little bit so it isn't striaght up in the air. Thanks in advance for the help

i'd suggest attempting to point your toes but it seems like you would go off axis, just go out there and do what i did, throw it and record yourself. When you go in, watch the tape and see what youare doing right/wrong then correct it.
It sounds like floating the baord is more of an addon than a necessity so i'd just go out there and work on throwing a normal roll before adding onto it.

I'm not adding on to it... the trick tips says to have the board not behind you, but not in the exact direction ur going. So it has to be somewhere inbettween that point. My question is, how do you get it in that posistion??
