i know its not about impressing people but dosent it ever make you made when you bust out some badass move and the people on the boat that dont really know alot about wakeskating are like well ok that great. Its like if your not upside down its not cool.

that bugs me more about skateboarding. everyone wants to see tony do the nine but i dont give a $#!+. id much rather see someone do like a nollie heelflip to nosegrind or something like that. its kinda the same in wakeskating tho. some people like grubb because he goes huge doing like w2w shuvits and stuff but its much cooler to see like byerly doing a shuvit over a 10x10 dock or thomas horrel ore someone doing like 270 shuvit to lipslide on wake or shuvit in to lipslide shuvit out.

Wakeskating wouldn't be as cool if everybody did the same thing. It's sweet to see all of the different directions people are taking it. Grubb's wake-to-wake stuff, Horrell's technical wakesliding powers, Byerly's kink stair rail... Not everybody will understand what makes wakeskating sick, and maybe they don't really need to. It's like one big inside joke.

I just started wakeskating and it just may be that my friends skateboard so they know whats hard and stuff but they appreciate my shuvits and ollies over sticks or surface 720's but they really do love my finale trick my raley to frontflip off the wakeskate lol

Its just pisses me off sometimes because i went out last night wakeskating after all the drunks ahd gone in around 8:30 and i stuck a lipslide to shuvit out for the first time and all my friends just kinda looked away. I didnt care though i was like whooooooohoooooooo!! Laughing

Its the same with wakeboarding, when you thow something tech, they don't notice, but a backroll, woooooohooooooo.
but congrats with the lipslide to shuvit. I tried one the other day and got worked.

I pulled a Boardlside to 180 off on a WAKESKATE on this lil rail on my river and everyone was like big wow.(sarcasm) I was like if you guyz weren't so fat and making my wake I would kick u all outta the boat lol

There is no such thing as a boardslide to 180 off. That would be called a boardslide to fakie. That's almost as bad as when wakeboarders call a melon grab a method. Let's get it right.

My favorite is when snowboarders do Cab 900's. How do snowboarders do cabs, & how does ANYONE do a Cab 900? Doesn't 900 contradict the term Cab?

how does it contradict the term cab. isnt a cab trick when you start switch and land forward. well actually, its a fakie 180 but since in wake/snowboarding you cant fakie ollie ill go with the first definition.

A caballerial, cab for short, is a fakie 360 on a skateboard. Steve Caballero invented the trick on transitions, and the move was later on adapted to street. A half cab, as the name implies, is a fakie 180. How some snowboarders, wakeboarders, and unfortunatley, even wakeskaters got it mixed up, I don't know. Why not just call it a switch (enter spin here)? It sounds way more hard and technical anyway.

Lol its sad I can surface 720 and shuvit but I dont think I can get anywhere close on a w2w. I started just trying random things so I cant scall me self anything. There are big holes in my trick book.

Who cares if people respect you for your big tech trick that no one cheers for because there non-wakeboarding fatties in the boat. do whatever makes you feel good and accomplished and that will be the most fun ever. dont try to impress someone, do whats fun\
