What is the proper handle position for a scarecrow? I pulled my pectoral muscle during the trick and I cannot ride until mid-august.

Overall, the rotation part and the approach was simple, I just need to know where to keep the handle so I do not get hurt again.

Peace

Right at your hips. Thats what it should stay for your whole rotation.

and hold on with two hands. I'm guessing you only had one hand on the handle if you pulled your boob.

They are a lot easier if you keep the handle low (hips). You can do them either way though. I don't know how you "pulled your boob". Weird?

I had both hands on the handle. It was my right boob, and I ride goofy - so my right arm was my lead arm going into the jump.

My guess is that when I was coming out of the roll and into the 180, the handle got jerked across my bod and over-stretched my boobie. It was a weird injury... Everyone on the boat thought that I did a perfect scarecrow - - -

Maybe I did everything correct but I wasnt warmed up right.. Who knows. Last year I bruised my spleen during a backroll.

Can be a tough sport sometimes

When I was learning elephants, I would do that shizzle all the time. As soon as I took my back hand off to rewind back to a front roll, there would be a real hard jerk from the boat. I never pulled my boob, but it sure was sore. I corrected it by holding the handle in closer to my hip. Actually pulling the handle in and down to my hip more exagerated than usual helps out a ton. It actually helps with the rotation quite a bit too. Good luck.
