I will be getting an 80 by 300 lens for my cannon very soon. I mostly shoot nature stuff, but would like to shoot wakeboarding also. any tips anyone can offer me. I want to pick up some filters when I get the lens, what should I get. Any info would be helpful, thanks

Talk to the guy that does this webpage, Garrett Cortese, the pictures he has posted on here and the ones on his webpage are the best I've seen.

Just make sure you get a UV filter to protect the lens from scratches. They lost a lot less than a new lens it it gets damaged. Maybe a polariser, although Garrett told me he doesn't use one.

I'm sure you probably know the rest. ISO 100 film, Shutter speed of 1000/1, F stop around 5. That should create the most pleasing photos.
Make sure you shoot in magic time. 1 hour after sunrise, 1 hour before sunset.
