if the PVC is big enough(diamiter) put a bolt through the wood and into the bottom of the PVC and then put a nut on it. I think that made since. _________________ Theres a fine line between bravery and stupidity-Johnny Knoxville |

thanks for the info, but i was using a 2inch pipe. what i did was bore a hole thru the top of the pvc pipe to allow a screw to slide thru and go into the bottom. |

skobi1...me and my buddy are building a slider right now, and that is exactly what we want to do to fasten the pvc to the board... maybe we're retarded, but we cant figure out how to do that in the middle of the pipe.... you have to have access to the inside of the pipe to be able to hold the nut....or lag in our situation, in place...and you cant really fit your arm all the way down the pipe to hold it....so how do you get the nut on the bolt???? _________________ Get Frugally Green!

i woulc try drilling a hole in the the pvc so that you can drop the bolt in then put the nut below the wood. do you get it, i would draw a picture but i don't know how _________________ ow thats gonna hurt tomorrow

Drill a hole big enough on top of the pvc to fit the socket down through it. Then just tighten it up _________________ -And my eyes get red in the back of your head..this place will make you blind |

Recess the top of the bolt into the wood. After drilling the hole in the wood for the bolt shaft, put the bolt in the hole and hammer on teh top of it. THis will make an indentation in the wood shaped like the top of the bolt. When you tighten the bottom nut the bolt head will slot into the indentation and not move.
You can also recess it more securely with a chisle. _________________ I'm back! after 5 years |
