I spent right at $4k last year! It looks like it will be worse this year!

I always get mine at the station. The marina on my lake charges 30-40% more than the gas station.

Funny that you ask, I just finished analyzing my last year. Between 2 cars, four wheeler, boat, I had a grand total of 5,412.00.

I am going to start charging gas money for the boat this year.

I ride about 125 times a year and it usually costs around $40 to topoff. I have a 40 gallon tank, but it is rarely completely empty!

If I can pull off 125 times this year 4k will be a bill I'll gladly pay.
How many times a week is that? I figured 4.

I am not a mathematician, 125 times per year divided by 52 weeks in a year is 2.4 times per week. That is a lot to keep up during the year. I think it would be more relevant to ask how much people are burning per hour, seems like about $10.00 per hour for me.

Well, I was going off of my last year's BP card. I usually ride every afternoon and on Saturday and Sunday! Plus, I had a new boat last year. If you don't believe me-ask the dock guys at Norris Dam how often the black and blue wakesetter is there!

I am not going to be able to afford that by myself this year. Me and my brother usually share the costs. I live about a mile from the dam, but I take my boat down to the BP at the bottom of the mountain. That doesn't even count how much gas my fish n ski used last year fishing in January-March.

Turk,
You need to take a break one evening and come down and ride with us on Tellico. Make it a weeknight though because weekends have gotten pretty busy.

about 2-3 here. My marina also have insanely high pricess(and alot of water in the gas) so i drive to town about 2-3 times a week and get about 30-40 gallons in tanks and bring them back, it is a pain but is saves a ton of cash.

I ride at least 3 afternoons during the week, and then all day on the weekends. I would say I spend between $1500 and $2000.

Yeah, you spend some of my 4K and I will spend some of yours. No better way to spend it though. Do yall still get good water up river in Granger County on the weekends? Might have to pull the boat up and have a little pow-wow if it is as good as I remember.

I mainly stay on the west side of the lake around Twin Cove in Campbell County. It has steep mountain banks that keep the water calm and it is very deep and clean. Not that much traffic!

Bo,
The water ain't so hot on the weekends. I would head to Norris if I had my drothers. Turk is right, it is beautiful. I am surprised the boat companies don't do photo shoots up there, but I digress. We built a little ramp and slider to hit on the weekend afternoons. I know at the very least I will be down in Nooga 5 or 6 times this summer so I will see you, Bo. I will try and come to Norris when your up. I need to get up there to see what is going on. I know Matt and Nick at G-rides but beside that I am a little light.

Thanks for the info Todd, Chickamauga is like the ocean on weekends. We normaly spend our time below the dam in the river gorge on the weekends, you can always find good water somewhere down there. I will let you guys know when I am heading up to Norris.

Bo,
Don't think I am blowing you off. Tellico and Chicamuaga have the same problem. They are connected to the intercoastal waterway so get alot of big boats. Norris is landlocked so their situation is a little better in this reguard. Also, people from Knoxville think Norris is like a big trip out of town or something. Not as many people go up there. But, you can come ride anytime. You will just like it alot better on a weeknight. I will be glad to give you a pull. Also, the slider and the ramp are alot of fun. They are real easy on your body, so it is like taking a break from all the weekday riding. We also started to get in to the surfing pretty heavy at the end of the summer and you can do that in bad conditions as well.
