| I don't have a tower on my boat...Would it make to much of a difference if I hooked the line up to the back of the boat. |

yes it would make a difference, if you had a tower the rope would be going into the air and gives you more hight on your wake jumps but if you just a beginer then the back of the boat would be fine.
what kind of boat do u have? |

The pros started off with out towers didnt they? And they were pulling off inverts and stuff.

| I feel I have learnt my basic skills (especially the wake approach) better without the tower, because I have had to rely on the progressive edge more. I just used a bridly behind the motor. We are pulling off backrolls with no tower, so it isn't a prereq. With that said, we are looking into getting one soon. |

I dont have one. 2 Days ago I made a 'mini-pylon' that makes my tow point 4 feet high. It helps, I can get up a bit faster and when Im riding the rope is parallel with the water. Right now I work on sideslides, reverse sideslides especially, along with surface spins.

| I think it can help with the basics also Will. The wake behind my boat is fairly big so I have to cut hard to clear it, but then when I go behind a wakeboarding boat I go alot bigger because I am use to the harder cut. |
