This claim is highly suspect.

At any rate, you CAN'T do a manual on a wakeskate there's no wheels. Know what they called manuals in the 80's? Wheelies. Please don't try to tell me you're doing 1-foot wheelies on a wakeskate, it just won't work. Snowboarders think they can manual too, but they don't. If there's no wheels there's no manual.

i think in wakeboarding/ wakeskating its called a nose/tail blunt. i got this info from WU so there is a good chance it could be wrong. but in the 10 year version of WBM it had a shot of murray doing a nose or tail blunt (i forgot which) and it looked like the equivallent of a wakeboarding manual. and vance when you said you were doing a manual with your front foot like a nose manual or did you shift the foot back for a normal manual. a nose manual sounds as possible as a manual.

The Headless Chicken,

I put my front foot on the very front of the board and lift my back foot up and ride around. Just like onmy avatar just on the water.

If you take your frontfoot off, you're board will go flying up a bit, you see it in SNAP when Aaron Reed demonstrates it, and he loses quite a bit of control. I highly doubt you (dumbassonwheels89) have any control when you lift your front foot off if your back foot is on the tail of the board.

And for the one footer vance, when I think of manuals, I think of a raise in one side of the board, when you put all your weight on the front foot, the tail doesn't lift off the water at all. I don't think what you are doing is anything close to a manual, but just a simple one-footer.

I'm going to need to see video footage or something to believe this, i've seen too much of people coming onto these chats and going "I just landed a hippy flip, and then to blind!"

Vance,

Manual is the correct term, but it's just somethat that can't be done on a wakeskate since you don't have wheels. I don't know what you'd call it instead, but it's definitely not a manual. 1-foot something or other, invent a name, that'd be cool!

In order to do a "blunt slide' like murray's, you actually have to cut out hard and revert your board and end up on your nose or tail. It originally appeared in a summer issue of wbm in like 1999, and shaun first cut out hard on his toes and then reverted in such a way that he broke his fins free and then ended up sliding on his nose. I think it was probably inspired by the cordial because those things were finless and had curved, snowboard like tips and tails.

In my opinion, that trick is more like a butter on a snowboard. A technicality that comes to mind is the fact that there arent' any trucks or wheels on a wakeboard, and the fact that he wasn't jibbing anything when he did it. It's still a fun trick to do though, and shaun makes it look good.

Here's a picture of a bluntslide sequence 'cuz it's kinda hard to explain if you've never seen one or are confused about what it is. This is a backside bluntslide.

Dock all I'm saying is that I pull my front foot off the skate and balance and then you have seen aaron (the guy who hurt his ribs at TSR) do the powerslide one footer. You just squat over your board and use your back hand to take the weigth your back foot should have and lift it forward.

Yes, I'm awfully confused, and Aaron (not Reed, but another wakeskate coach, or used to be one...) hurt his Ribs previously before TSR too, guess he just re-injured them.

thats cool.. but what im talking about looks nothing like that. I bring my back foot completly off the board, at least a foot or two away from it, and ride around with only my front foot on the front of the board.
