I have reacently aquired about 8,500 through a death in the family but the good news is that i have 8,500 to spend and i have a friend whos parents would sell me their 1990 prostar 190 for $7,500. It doesnt have a tower but ive seen 90' and 91' with zeroflexes and they look sweet (plus my parents would help pickup the tab for the tower and boards) what do you think should i do it????? _________________ LIFE IS TOOO SHORT.........WAKESKATE NAKED

| We used to own a 1990 prostar 190. This is a solid boat, and a great waterski boat. With a few fat sacks it makes a decent wake. A good set up is the powerslot tranny. It'll give you more power out of the hole. My neighbor has a 1987 2001 nautique. With a little weight it throughs a great wake. If the prostar is in good shape and mechanically sound, 7500 is a great deal. Good luck. |

Look at street prices for that boat. If it's in decent condition, $7500 is super cheap.

Oh, and it has 379 hours on it (Thats pretty low for a boat of that age, isnt it?) _________________ LIFE IS TOOO SHORT.........WAKESKATE NAKED

| Yeah, that's low hours. We've run 500 motor hours since 1996. |

If I owned something a bit dodgy I would never sell it to a friend as I would be embarrassed if it broke down and would feel obliged to either fix it or pay to have it fixed. If your friend is a true friend and his parents aren't complete ****ards, I would go for it. It does sound too good to miss. Better to buy from someone you know than a complete stranger. _________________ Jeff |
