mtx vs fosgate amps

Is there any noticeable difference between a mtx amp or a fosgate amp?

mtx amps are alright . Rockford used to make really nice amps. But there new stuff is still arlight. I would go with rockford

different subs sound better with certain amps. it you are using this amp for speakers i dont think it makes a difference

Both amps make a lot of power and sound good. However the Rockford amps get really hot. And I mean Hot!!! In a car you don't drive the amp that hard because you have a roof to keep the sound in. In a boat you push the volume up to compensate and the amps really work. I have had great success with the MTX amps in boats and I have replaced a lot of Fosgates in boats. In cars both amps give you a lot of bang for your buck.

MTX is the best deal for the money, they are a budget compared to Fosgate.....however, once you start going upwards of 1500 watts to 2000 watts there will be a difference and the fosgates are gonna start to pull away.....if your not pushing that much power outta your system though the MTX are great amps I am using one to push 775 in my car and its just as good as any fosgate or kicker amp out there.....
