DR is going to be making (guaranteed) about 45mill for the Jets in a 3-4 year deal. Granted nothing has been released yet with specifics, but I guarantee that he makes more than Sherman or any other corner. Such crap. Shows that he got the ring, and now just wants his money.
I hate when you have to realize that these are all just business transactions. So hard to do that!!!!!! |

i keep seeing pats fans bitch about revis being a mercenary, but they got him for a steal and he was a huge part of this year's super bowl team. the pats had the option to pay him WHAT THEY AGREED TO 3 years ago, and they chose not to. how on earth is that greedy on his part?

Have said it here many times, I'll never understand people bitching about a player maximizing their worth. I laugh inside about the loyalty argument. Pats fans talking loyalty is extra rich... |

Have no problem with Revis getting paid. Don't think he's worth that $ but hey, if he can get it good for him. _________________

Good on Revis getting whatever he can.
Typical Jets move, 5 year contract for a 30 years old. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |

Basically, Chip Kelly flipped LeSean McCoy at $10M per for DeMarco Murray/Kiko Alonso at $9M per. |

not sure how that but applies to the cowboys - it's about the eagles swapping players/cap numbers. we have a ton of picks and a rb heavy draft and murray had 400+ carries. if jerrah could have kept him at a decent number, he would have because he's worth the risk. but they can get comparable production for a much lower number. i'm perfectly happy letting him walk w/ what's on the board. not thrilled he went to philly, but that's a house of cards if i've ever seen one. wtf is kelly doing? |

It was the right move to let Murray go. He was injury prone prior to 2014 and then he put a lot of mileage on this season. NO team should ever pay a RB premium dollars in that type of situation given the pounding they take.
Go back and look less than 5 seasons ago at how long the "hot RB" of that year lasted as a premier player. It is rare that ANY of them still remain on the list 5 years later. Given what those numbers look like, it is ALWAYS better to let some other team pay them and take a chance on them. _________________

jt - Not upset that he was greedy. Just like I said - it is a business transaction. Just sucks to see him go. He and Cromartie can have fun with the NYJ - I'm sure they'll be happy with their millions when they have Jan/Feb off again.
There's nothing worse than being a Patriots fan in March/April. FA always sucks for us to see some of our best go |

well, that didn't take long!
Quote: | 1. I think the most stunning piece of news from the last few days, other than Sarah Thomas’s hiring, was Chris Mortensen’s report that the Browns had basically moved on from Johnny Manziel. The way he described it on ESPN was that, when the offensive staff was putting together the offseason program, “Manziel’s name barely even came up in conversation.” I can tell you this: Mortensen is 100 percent accurate here. In fact, when the quarterbacks have been discussed this offseason in-house, Josh McCown is the dominant talking point, and then Thad Lewis, signed last month as a free agent. Then comes Manziel and Connor Shaw. The point is that Manziel has given the Browns no reason to think he’s the long-term answer at quarterback.
2. I think the moral of this story is this: Manziel has done too much damage to his reputation with owner Jimmy Haslam, GM Ray Farmer and coach Mike Pettine to be taken seriously in Cleveland when he returns to the team, which is likely to be in the next week or so. He’ll have to be a combo platter of an Eagle Scout and a worker bee to have a chance to get the trust of the coaches back.
3. I think I am dubious that Manziel going to rehab was his idea. |

Hope that gamble for Shane Ray pays off? The picks and Ram don't bother me, but? But with Miller, Ware and Ray...good God they are going to get after the QB... |

As a KC kid and a Mizzou star, I HATE seeing Ray go there from my perspective as a Chiefs fan. I think they'll have ZERO problems with him off the field, though. _________________
