|
|
Just hit my first solid object behind our ski. Smallish kicker w/ wakeskate , stuck a few but crashed most. The good ones seemed perfect but it was hard to get consistent... any tips for approach, hand position, speed etc... I seemed to get yanked forward a lot or the board would fall from my feet before landing...

try this.. just started to land the kicker at owc. as your cutting in kind of flatten off or your board will come out from you. now as your going up the kicker. have your front foot a third of the way from the top and th back foot almost at the end of the board. now as your going up the kicker. start to bend your knees, slowly bring them up and as your off the ramp keep bringing the up towards your chest.. i hope you can understand that.. watch any video of wakeskaters hitting kickers and stuff, that shuold help.. thats what i did _________________ the difference between comedy and tradey. a tradgey; if i cut my finger i will complain and complain. i would go to the er and get it fix and get stiches. . if someone is walking down the street and falls in a sewer and dies, thats comedy. |

Yeah edge in gradually then when you are about 3ft from
the kicker flatten out, bend your knees keep the handle
close to your hips and watch the board! Suck up your
knees right when you go off the kicker keep your knees
bent when you land so you have better control of the
deck when it hits the water |

I agree with most of that Midnightlightning, except right before you land I usually extend my knees so I have more to cushin the landing with more bend in the knees. If not you wont slow down enough and thats why u bounce forward off the board _________________ Slob Gear
