I do have a WSM... I have the larger size. I need some rib standing racks(what do you think about those)

Jason_ssr - No FFL yet. I did apply last year but then held off because I was going to get it registered to the same location as boardstop. However I decided it would be a pain to try and get the building owner to let me run an FFL from that location. I have been told that I just need to register it to my home location so I might get around to doing that so I can buy from my distributors that I already have accounts with.

So much to do...so little time... Smile

I want some rib racks. I have the 18.5" WSM and have to trim ribs to get them to fit. with the racks, it looks like you can curl the ribs.

Last year was the first year since i was about 5 that i did not get yanked around by a rope behind a boat. Meanwhile, I have a damn malibu response in my backyard in the water ready to go at anytime, lol. Hopefully getting out more this summer, mostly wakeskating I'm sure, have barefooted a bit too in the last couple years.

Sold my main MC X2 boat about three years ago and been fishing pretty solid since then, almost too much!

Divorced years ago, got rid of a couple since then, living with a wonderful young lady now for the last two years.

see my sig for more.

Nice to see everyone moving on and UP!

Get your class III while you're at it. Suppressors are about to be a big hit. I live in Dallas and use a guy in Cedar Park for my class III stuff. I'm down your way quite a bit. I need to swing by. My folks live in Leander (Crystal Falls).

Okie Boarder, Do you still wakeboard? I remember about two years ago, you were all over the wakeboard forum. You redid your entire boat and posted tons of videos of you and your kids riding.

I'm still riding. Picked up an A24 with an ls3 last month. I'll get around to doing a detailed writeup at some point.

Yes. Last year was a little on the light side and this year will probably be the same. We're hoping to do more next year. With my wife trying to finish school and a tight budget, we've not been out as much as we'd like.

I haven't been tugged around by a boat in probably 4 years. I'd like to get out, but I'm afraid of the pain that would come the next day.

These days my free time is spent chasing my 3yo, gardening, canning, hunting, shooting/collecting guns, drinking whiskey and (still) doing taxes.

this is a great post

It's amazing the long term folks on here and some still board some don't. But still check the forum out of habit. Kind of cool

I bought a new boat last year. Put 80 hours on it and we'll probably do the same this year. I still board probably 30 times a year, I still suck, but just love being on the water.

Jason got me hooked on kiteboarding 3 or 4 years ago and I put a lot of miles traveling the world to feed the kiteboarding addiction. Sailboat trip through the grenadines in December, just got back from kiteboarding in Spain. (Jason, awesome spot, flat water, huge beautiful beach, castle perched on a hill a couple of hundred yards away and a mountain backdrop. Pretty cool)

Golf probably once or twice a week through work in the summer. Just remember technology is your friend! I'm Taylor Made everything.

Did some cool snowboarding trips this year and it looks like we might visit our friends in Switzerland this winter for a snowboarding trip.

Looking into some sailing lessons, I really enjoyed the trip we did and would like to some day charter my own sailboat.

I have two grand kids now so spending time with them is always awesome and we look forward to sleepovers. They love the boat as much as I do so it's just as good if not better getting to watch them experience how their mom got to grow up around the boat. I could never put a price tag on that time.

Lots of interesting updates.

I haven't put the MC or the jet ski's in the water yet. Between vacations, work, and kids activities there isn't much time. Hopefully getting out next weekend. I haven't wakeboarded in a couple years, just pull the kids on whatever they want to ride. My knees can't handle it much any more.

Bought a new set of Taylor Made RBZ's last year and have played them 4 times I think. Same issue as getting the boat in the water.

Both girls are on a competition cheer team and both swim competitively, so they are in some sort of practice every day during the week plus partial days on Saturday.

Dude, that's amazing! Yeah, I'm dying to get to that side of the pond and hit the hotspots (Spain, Egypt, etc) but having three little ones (5, 2, and 7wks) my time and cash are limited. Was maneuvering around Spain pretty easy with your bag?

Ha! I was hoping that trip would ignite your sailing bug. I'm dying to find people to island hop the BVI in a 50ft cat. Its really not that spendy considering 4 estate rooms (4 couples?). We just need to get proficient enough to convince them to rent us a boat!! I would put together a sailing log, and log the time you spent in Dec. They want to see a nice log of time served before turning you lose on a big boat. Capt is $100 a day and he takes up a room and you have to feed him. Islamorada is kiting paradise.

jason_ssr, like you, it's not in the cards right now, but a few years from now - that kind of trip would have serious appeal to me.

Been really into wine recently. Learning more about the types, vines, locations, etc. Has really become fun to tour vineyards. It has become my dream someday to own a vineyard.

Netflix. "Borgias" and "Orange is the new Black." Two new favorite shows. "House of Cards" is next. Open to any other recommendations as well. Suggestions are welcome! Smile

jason_ssr - we're planning on going to the BVI's in Feb. Still looking for a couple for the third stateroom. We have been to the BVI's before and had a captain and mate/chef (hubby and wife). They were awesome and although I am probably qualified, I don't want to bareboat. I am the responsible captain when running my boat; when I go on vacation I want to chill and let the anchor dragging, night watch, etc... be someone else's problem. It's only about 3800 per couple (plus airfare) for 7 days. PM me if you want me to shoot you details.

I haven't gotten out wakeboarding in a few years as work has taken me away from lakes.

Hopefully will get out this summer as we're going to spend a week at a cottage on a lake.
Still auditing.
First kid due to arrive any day now.
Started golfing last year - got out 25 times. Not very good but love walking a course on a weekday afternoon when I'm supposed to be at work.
Looking at buying our first house but the market in our city is pretty crazy.

jryoung - I'm not sure if "doing taxes" = free time.

I've been around here a real long time, but have never been a huge poster. I started posting just before the big crash.

What i'm into has definitely changed a lot over the years. Still have a wakeboard boat, and live on a lake, but 9 times out of 10 we are out on the pontoon boat.
Golf once a week or so and I am a solid bogey golfer.
Like arof, my first child is due any day now.
Moving somewhere next year for my wife's work, moving next July and don't find out where until this December. Besides having a requirement for cities with greater than 250K people nothing is off the table so that is scary and interesting.

At this point it takes up most available free time. Every year, I think I'm going to get it under control next year and work less. I'm still waiting on that version of next year.

I love The Borgias and the series "Borgia."

I actually think "Borgia" is the better of the two.

I was in rome last summer and went to the Vatican and stood in the Borgia apartments. It was pretty cool to be in the rooms where Lucretia Borgia surely stood.

I'll play...

Bit of a transition/limbo point in life. Find out mid-July if I get a contract that will allow me to hang my own shingle. Might be selling the house to move in with the girl...

Still too many project: my house, her house, ski boat, and houseboat (pulled last fall and I'm probably going to totally gut).

Started building firearms (AR15/10s and 1911s). Enjoying the range and taking some training handgun courses. Shoot skeet every few weeks. Also, picked up a bolt action rifle for this hunting season. We'll see if this dog hunts...

Joined a paddling club as the girl wanted to SUP on our free weekends.

Trying to get in shape and to that end the last 2 weeks I've been doing short fast rides ~15 miles 4 days a week to get the saddle time. Need to get back in the weightroom and off the booze (at least during the week).

Houseboats in the north state this weekend, Newport the next, Vegas the next, Tahoe after that, then a big float party here in town, and Tahoe again.

Then it's a summer of 6 weddings, including all the pre-parties that are expected nowadays, engagement party, bachelor party, ect... So a lot of weekends booked. One wedding is in Poland so I'll be there for 3 weeks.

I used to race and I know Muck has been out recently.

What's it take to convince them for bareboat? Are there certs needed?

Still visit inlaws river house quite a bit, but haven't wakeboarded in a few years. I try and get a slalom run in every year, just to say I can still do it.

Weekends are filled with chasing around our 19 month old, swim lessons, and attending weddings and all their activities.

Working in commercial real estate, Hubby still slanging guns but just graduated from nursing school (thank goodness).Life is good!

Mik- are you coming down for the 4th? We're staying in town, lets get together!

Mik is pronounced Mick or Mic but never Mike. Spelling is based on the actual spelling of my name and a shortened pronunciation of my full name.

I won't be down this year. I'll be down the weekend after the 4th.

http://ocarmory.com/

They do all kinds, obviously within CA Law. He's currently building several Hungarian AK-47s for personal collection. (I'm guessing at this, I don't pay much attention anymore).

Funny, just started watching that show the other night.

My boat will be up for sale soon, haven't got out wakeboarding in a couple years and really just haven't had the time for it.

Lots of hockey in the winter keeps me busy.

Golfing in the summer (and whenever I'm down south), trying to get more rounds in this year than I usually do but that's not going great. I used to slice like crazy, but usually have a slight draw now... thank god.

Also spend a lot of time hiking with my dogs or taking them out to the park or swimming. Also try to travel a few times each year to new spots. We did a lot of the east coast last summer and this spring.

Most of the rest of my time is spent either working on things around the house or outside, dealing with work/business stuff.

Oh, and I just got married last weekend. Wish me luck. Laughing

I'm still riding. I graduated college in December and traveled around the world until May. Now I'm back at the parents' house job hunting...looking for an entry-level position in strategy at an ad agency. Rare title, but I feel good about my qualifications, so hopefully I'll find the right job before long.

In the meantime, I'm riding 3-5 times a week. It's depressing, but realistically, this is my last chance to get as good as I want to in wakeboarding (a 720 and a mobe and I'm happy for life). As soon as I get a real job, I won't have regular access to a boat. By the time I can afford my own, I'll be well past my physical peak and it'll be hard to progress. Pretty crazy 23 is the end of the line for my sports "career"
