you're a lawyer, right? that means by not hiring someone to do that for you, you spent at least $2000 (if you are a cheap ass lawyer) to do it yourself.

I had the sweet original Star Wars wallpaper on one wall in my room when I was 7.

I feel sorry for whomever had to deal with that stuff Laughing

jt09, i like doing most home improvement jobs myself. That and we have already spent too much on other things. New carpet and the zero turn riding mower (and extras) was 13k together. We just moved to a 4 acre lot off of the Sisterdale highway.

I feel your pain..I just painted a room three times. I sprayed it and rolled it twice and you can STILL see paint lines in it. I finally gave up and called a professional. He looked at the paint color and sheen and said its "impossible" to paint without lines. I feel a little better but Im still at square one.

He is painting it flat today in the same color. I could have done it myself but Im not picking up a paint brush for a couple of years. Its just not worth it for the time to just not pay someone to do it.

I used a steamer to remove a wallpaper border. I peeled off the top layer of the paper, then used the steamer to remove the rest. It came off pretty quickly/easily, then I just wiped up the remaining glue with a sponge.

Most of this room was double or triple layered! Dif works great on a single layer. I also used a steamer for the last stubborn pieces. Glad to be done with that, hopefully the other wall papered rooms are easier!

So glad that trend isn't common any more. We've been through the same in a previous house...hoping to never do it again. Is it possible just to do another texture layer right over the op of the paper?
