Okie Boarder, I don't think we have any active users that live anywhere even remotely close to Eureka.

IOW - didn't even know it occurred until I saw the news this AM. Laughing

Makes sense...I didn't catch the actual location, just heard Nor Cal.

We've been having lots of earthquakes, but all pretty small. The wife and I are used to the bigger shakers like we felt in CA. Most people that are local or from other parts of the midwest keep mentioning the quakes, but she and I never feel them. LOL!

Does anybody else remember when an earth quake was reported and tsunami's didn't even get mentioned? Now it's "OH MY GOD! THERE WAS A 1.3 MAGNITUDE QUAKE IN AUSTRALIA THIS MORNING. THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS ARE BRACING FOR POSSIBLE TSUNAMI's"

By no means am I making fun of the power of an earthquake but these news outlets are completely forgetting about reporting the facts and keeping people calm just to get higher ratings!! Same thing happens here when a snow storm moves in. It snows here every year for 3.5 months! It's not unusual but you'd think the "Great White Apocalypse" is occuring when 2" of snow is expected. I've started comparing the meteorologist around here to conspiracy theorists and someone who yells "FIRE" in a crowded movie theater.

Ya now we have to name the winter storms to sensationalize them/report on them more.

GET YOUR MILK AND BREAD!!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!

The reporter standing out in the snow with some main road/highway/interstate over their shoulder in the background has to be the most tired bit of TV "news" I've seen in the past 5 years.

I thought it was interesting that this latest earthquake was the same magnitude as the 89 SF earthquake.

Under a 3.0 and it's not really on anyone's radar. Might make the pool slosh a bit but otherwise minor.
