Scopes are the hardest to pick out for an AR platform. How far do you want to shoot? _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em...
Since you bought the upper complete all the rest of it is pretty basic assembly. Unlike a 1911 or other builds ARs tend to be closer to plug and play with parts just fitting right out of the box. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong.
Santa brought me a Bushmaster M4, but I don't know much about them either. I'm planning on going with the Nikon P223 3X32 scope for $149. It is specifically made for the AR's and it's not too expensive. It's easy to spend a grand on glass, but I have heard good things about the Nikon, and in this case I think "it's not the wand, it's the wizard" applies. Unless you have extensive training and experience, a decent scope is going to be better than you are. _________________

i plan on starting to build one in a couple weeks, it will be my first time aswell
gonna start with a DPMS then add magpul stock, fore end and afg, nickle-boron(sp?) BCG, troy battlesights, and a CMMG .22LR conversion kit for the range
still undecided on optics _________________ Lanexa VA

cost on those is right around $303. the LBM is out of stock.. they have a number of the DRD item. not sure about shipping etc. Some of the ADV tech are in stock and in the 45 price range. _________________ Wakeskating Ronix Wakeboards Wakeboarding
Hmm... I just found a heavy fluted stainless barrel for ~$150 so I'm going that direction. But I have 2 more AR15 lowers and 3 AR10 lowers to build so I'll keep that site in mind. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong.
Whatever you need just let me know.. I can get prices pretty easy so it doesn't hurt to check it for you. _________________ Wakeskating Ronix Wakeboards Wakeboarding

Not really, it fires two shots with one trigger pull. I still don't understand the point, even if it has dual triggers. One well placed round should do the job IMO. This isn't call of duty spray & pray.
Nice build Ed, my personal recomendation is an Aimpoint pro or micro for red dot
Shot so steel at 200 meters with my buddy's AR w/ an Aimpoint Pro. Pretty nice set up, little spendy but the smaller MOA dot helps. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong.

Therers always the Primary Arms clone, which I have. My only gripe is the battery life sucks compared to Aimpoint. I'll be putting a micro on the next couple of rifles. _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com
