Prayers and help for a friend

A friend of mine from HS is going through a tough time with her son. He was visiting friends in CA and got in an accident when off-roading with some friends. His hand was crushed and there was concern it could not be saved. A couple weeks later and after 3 surgeries, he appears to be on the road to recovery. She is a single mom working several part time jobs to support herself and him. The medical bills are going to be a huge obstacle to overcome. Please say a prayer, put out a good thought, and if you feel you want to help financially, PM me. A fundraising site has been set up to help them with the bills. I don't feel comfortable posting the site on a public forum, but I would like to put the word out and try to help them.

Hopefully, she petitions the hospital for a discount or write-off on the bill. Hospitals will do that in certain circumstances.

She is. She also has insurance, but she will still have a lot of out-of-pocket costs.
