you're complaining about a guy acting like a jerk, but want more gogan types? talking out of both sides of your mouth a bit, don't you think?

I am talking about a guy acting like a jerk on the microphone or chasing others down.

Totally fine with stuff being said ON THE FIELD and taken care of ON THE FIELD.

If thats both sides of my mouth, OK.

Someone needs to take the video of the interview and dub over Crash Davis' sports cliches from Bull Durham.

was just pointing it out - definitely shows that others feel the same way. already posted sherman's stats earlier in the thread.

not sure where you're getting those stats - sherman had 8int this year to lead the league and revis's 2 ties him for 7th, not 12th.

How do you know he's such a smart guy? I'm not denying it, just wondering how it's been proven.

I don't keep up with the NFL very well, but I'll sit down on Sunday and watch the end of a game or two if they're close. I had never heard of Richard Sherman (or if I did, I would have thought he was some old, white, position coach with that name) until Sunday night. He's now a polarizing figure like Deion, Mike Tyson, Johnny Manziel, Jeff Gordon, Kim Kardashian, etc. Whether that was publicity stunt, or just his natural behavior, he's probably "most improved" in the world for fame this week.

I think people are just assuming he's some mad scientist because he went to Stanford. Usually that's a pretty safe bet, but I haven't seen anything that suggests that he's any smarter than the average Communications major.

Frankly I wouldn't take anything reported on Scout's website as gospel.

That being said I am sure we can agree that he doesn't fit the "straight outta da hood ingnant football player" stereotype, or the "thug ghetto gangsta" accusations that have followed his rant.

UGH! I had to be surrounded by small children this weekend! I couldn't even swear or scream out ONCE during the game. It was exhausting and I'll never allow that to happen again. Amendola was a bad sign. They need to keep Talib and Edelman and get Brady some deep threat because these 2 rookies can't stay healthy enough to catch a pass!

Quote:
Super Bowl Media Day is a circus, and the mass of "journalists" allowed to ask questions inevitably results in events like this, when Richard Sherman is asked a question about how to prevent girls from becoming strippers.
Quote:
Q. ...All of you football guys going into the strip clubs, and throwing... raining down on these strippers. I think that's a bad example for our young ladies. How can we stop that? I think it's a bad example that we're setting for our young girls that they need to be strippers.

A. I've never gone to a strip club and thrown money, so I couldn't tell you. I guess, uh, trying to understand that there are other avenues and other ways you can make money, that women can do anything they want in this world. You can go out there and be a CEO of a company, you can go out there and like I said, same can be said for kids in the inner city, that the ceiling is limitless and don't limit yourself to those possibilities and those circumstances.

I really hope Skittles arranges to have a golf cart left unattended behind each endzone for Marshawn to take for a spin.

Corporate and I got a good laugh at Cal when Marshawn took the golf cart after that win in 2006

^lol.

Avril was up in Manning's grill all day long. I'm surprised Smith got the MVP over him.

This is one of the best executed Gatorade baths I've ever seen. Just look at that perfect splash off PC's back.

I think Pete is much better suited to the NFL. Maybe it's because I'm a Seahawk and Husky fan, but I think his swagger and schmaltzy-ness works better in the professional arena.

That said, he certainly has been around the block and paid some dues. This defense that he built is pretty damn impressive to watch. There are a lot of DCs going to be studying this years film until guys report to camp in the summer.
