Anyone look into a Sonos music system for their home?

Friend of mine just started working there and another friend has their house decked out.

Sound blew me away and the whole system seems to have it figured out for ease of set up, cost ranges, quality, etc.

Love the idea. I've only heard them in store, sounded good there. Definitely something I'd recommend to people looking for an easy to live with solution without all the hassle.

I have 3 of the connect:amp modules wired to 3 zones in my home. I had my entire house wired with our remodel and have speakers in the ceiling of all the common rooms and the two decks outside as well as the master suite. A/V guy that did all the work on the remodel actually installed them and said if I didn't love them after a month he'd rip it all out and refund the money as I thought it seemed like overkill. Three days in I texted him and let him know I would be keeping them. Way impressed with the functionality and sound. Thanks for the reminder, I need to call him for another one so that I can have the bar downstairs on a separate zone prior to the Superbowl.

Corporate, that's actually not a bad approach. Best of both world - easy to use + hidden.

I have no idea how it would work at my house - as it is all my wife has to do to use the stereo now is press the little Airplay button and choose our Denon receiver - but she never does. She just listens using the speaker on her phone. Rolling Eyes Laughing

We have the sonos systems in our house. We have it split into Three different zones. We have four speakers running off each power block, can't remember the name of the blocks. So we have Kitchen, living area and our master bathroom. Then on one more zone that runs off of my stereo dowstairs, it's more of just a bridge we can play the music down there as well.

It's awesome. We have the Rdio subscription through the Sono's system and I can find and play people's playlists that they choose, build my own queue play list, what ever.

What is also very cool is Through the Rdio account i can load my own playlist on my IPAD or phone and play the list at the gym, or whereever. You don't have to use data, or wifi ect ect, I basically never have to pay for another song ever again off of ITunes. The Rdio account costs me 10 bucks a month I think? Which I'm ok with.
