We are heading to st Lucia and the grenadines next month. They use eastern caribbean dollars i guess. Has anyone been there? Do the locals prefer US dollars or the EC dollars? _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |

I used regular USD... Pretty much the same dollar equivalency. You pay in either or/ they give you change in same currency. At least they did for me in 2010. _________________ 2010 Glastron GT 205XL ( Volvo 4.3L GL-J)

| I just got back from Jamaica and they accepted USD. I would bet it's the same in St. Lucia. |

They prefer USD and will probably give you change in East Caribbean if possible. |

Hahaha. Lots of love for st. Vincent
We fly into st.Lucia and hang out for a couple of days there. We then board a catamaran and head to st.vincent and the grenadines for a week of sailing through those islands.

We won't need a ton of cash but we'll get off the boat and eat and drink on the islands for two to three nights for sure.
Should be a cool vacation. I didn't want to do the standard all inclusive see nothing but the same beach type vacation this year. _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |

| Bambamski, Just got back from St. Lucia a couple weeks ago. Didn't leave the resort much but everyone seemed to take USD the few places we did go to (random road-side stands included). Granted, it was all pretty touristy. |
