Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling? You're going to hell if it is not a dry Riesling from Rheingau or Nahe.

Ah I ended up grilling filets and opening a bottle of cab. We recently moved and we were given several bottles of wine by friends and family (all of whom apparently are going to hell too) so I figured we'd go red tonight.

I highly doubt most people find it funny . Why don't you show it to your parents and grandparents or any body else over the collage days . See if a future employer would find it funny on a resume . Everything that happened after work that night was just bad judgment the fact he posted it on the web where it will stay forever was dumb . You keep saying how Judgmental I am ,YOU are just as judgmental just on the other side of the argument.

Supra, I'm pretty sure most people think it's funny. My friend thought it was funny. My wife laughed hard about it the next day when I took her to lunch.

Almost everyone on the planet has had an isolated night or two where they had a few too many. Hell, my whole point was I only had 4 drinks over a few hours, and I was shocked that I ended up so out of sorts. You act like I bragged about making it a mission to get drunk, pounded a gallon of 'shine, drove home, wrecked my car, beat my dog and didn't show up for work.

Frankly, it just appears that you are completely out of touch with reality, and, yes, you are being pretty damn judgmental. No one here agrees with you, but you don't seem to appreciate that fact. I'm sure you get that a lot, but it goes right over your head, and you chalk it up to everyone being wrong but you.

Anywho, have fun in your ivory tower.

Troll gonna troll....

I can't get plowed like that anymore. I have to really watch how much i drink. It's not that I can't handle a large amount of booze anymore WHILE drinking. It's the next damn day that is damn near killing me.

Last time i got a little drunk, i had a 6 pack of beer and 3 jack and cokes, over 4 hours. Had a slight buzz, nothing major. I was sick until 4pm the next day.

Getting old SUCKS.

One thing I've found is that if I know I'm going to have more than like 2 glasses of wine or 3 beers, I have to force myself to drink a glass of water between each drink or I get a headache the next day. One thing I absolutely cannot do anymore is cheap mexican and more than like 2 margaritas.

I think it was a mix of the booze plus a half a pack of smokes. I have since quit those as well.

haha! had a game watching party at a bar for one of the rare times my bobcats were on tv (they played texas tech saturday). told the waitress that she was to deliver at least one iced tea between any beer, and no back to back alcohol drinks for me, under any circumstance.

One of my former biz partner, a Moscow native, drank vodka like it was water. But the one thing he always did, was drink a glass of water between the booze.

I saw him pretty drunk a few times, but the next day he always fared better than the others drinking with him.

goofyboy, that's basically me for the last 5 years or so. If I am going to drink though, I stick to one kind of drink and that's that. No mixing beer and booze and typically no mixing kinds of booze. Also, cran/vodka is one of my go-tos, but only because the cran keeps it all flowing through. Sure it ups the calories, but the next day I usually feel just fine.

These days I typically prefer having a 22oz of a really good micro than almost anything else.

I took a survey and Canada didn't think it was funny. Blame Canada.

Yeah, one of my buddies does this every time we go out. It's one beer, one water every time.

Have y'all seen the Mythbusters episode where they tested the beer only versus beer and liquor "myth"?

I don't have any steadfast rules for drinking though I prefer to not mix, I will, and I rarely drink water when out... That said I avoid anything with sugar.

Yeah, seems like even mixing different liquors causes issues.

Yes let this be a wake up call to all of you . As you said I only had 4 drinks over a few hours. You got away very lucky things could have gone a lot differently . You keep referring to me judging you . I don't know you I'm only judging your actions . The fact that the post adolescents here agree with it means nothing to me. This is not a popularity contest and I am not a go along to get along guy. I am glad to be out of touch with your reality . You find nothing wrong with what you did its normal just another day in the life? . Make a joke HAHA after all its funny right . We will never agree on this subject and I'm sure others as well . I guess we will have to agree to disagree and leave it at that. Good luck and stay safe.

Suprahunter,

Agree to disagree. Fine by me. By the way though, the "adolescents" you reference on this board probably average mid 30's, just like me.

Oh, and I'm not sure what danger you think was lurking out there that I was "very lucky" to avoid. Again, I was at a private club. Again, I had a dd. Again, I went straight home. Again, I had 4 drinks. I just, well, hmmmmm, oh nevermind.

Chattwake, yes, hence him calling us "post" adolescents. If by post, he means closer to 50 than to "adolescence", then I suppose he's right. Confused Laughing

PS: you don't need to defend your actions. You are an adult, and you did nothing wrong.

Hey Supra,

I noticed in the Boats forum that you strongly recommended the two most expensive wakeboats in the industry, the G23 and G25, to an anonymous poster asking for boat advice (he was asking about MC and Malibu, however, so not only are you a sanctimonious fella, you're also not remotely helpful...but I digress).

Do you know that guy's financial/family situation? And you have the nerve to tell a stranger to go out and spend $130K without a second's hesitation? What the hell is wrong with you?? That's so irresponsible. If he heeds your immature, short-sighted advice, two years from now, he'll be up to his eyeballs in debt, taking out a third mortgage on his run down house. Faced with the indignity of declaring bankruptcy, he'll ultimately let the shame of not being able to provide for his own family get to him and take his own life, leaving his wife alone with a mountain of bills and his two children, Susanne and little Timmy, without a father. It's practically an inevitability. I hope you're happy. How do sleep at night, good sir?
