JL AUDIO

I need two amps to push 2 tower speakers(aprox. 125 watts each) and a 12in polk momo in a plexi enclosure(100-500rms 1000peak). I was thinking about a JL AUDIO 300/2 for the tower and a 500/1 for the sub. Do you think these would be suitable. Also, do you think I could get away with a 250/1 to power the sub. Everyone I talk to says the Jl AUDIO under rates their subs. Anyone no a good place to buy JL AUDIO amps online other than ebay? Thanks

Hi there,
First off you don't want to buy JL online. If you do find it at an online retailer, there will be ZERO warranty with it. Look at wakeside.com. They claim to sell JL but call them and ask them what kind of warranty it comes with...NONE! That is because JL does not support online sales. To many issues with all that. But for your other questions....I pushed Boss B60's with a 300/2 last year and it did wonderfully. JL definately rates there amps WAY below what they are stamped at. I also pushed 2 15inch subs with a 500/1 which is the same as you using the 250/1 on a single sub. The boat pumped out some serious sound. Never a worry with Jl, that is some of the best stuff you can buy.

i am pushing Deafcon III (125 watts each) and a fosgate 12 (not sure atleast 100 watts) with a fosgate 700x. It work wonderfully. The 12 is bridaged.

Well if ur into spending tons on amps, go with JL, but there are other amps that can do the same if not better for less. Look into Cadence amps, or directed for the sub, and US acoustics for the mids / highs. Ive been pretty big into car audio for a while now, and JL is good, but not worth thrie Price.

I think a radio shack realistic amp will fit your needs go out and get one... today...youlle really be a mack daddy then. real coooool

PimpinD, I run my entire system with US acoustics amps and couldn't be happier... Loud as piss, clean as hell. Got a great price on em and they hold up great.

I have fried 2 JL 1000/1 amps in 1 weekend Sad

Also melted 3 13W7's..

I am not real excited about JL right now
