I'm finding that there aren't very many good Social Media forums out there. I have a pretty specific question/need but it's worth a shot. The knowledge of wb.com always surprises me.
I'm looking for a very specific set of features in a Social Media Management Tool that I haven't been able to find yet (and was hoping someone could help). I have multiple Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn accounts (each Region has its own accounts) under one "umbrella" (the global channels). I'm looking for a way to compile ready-to-publish global tweets/posts in one central repository where our regional SM managers can log in, select the posts that they think are appropriate for their region and easily push those posts through their channels.
Hootsuite is very close to being able to work but it's not ideal. In order to get these ready-to-go posts in a stream, you have to schedule them. Drafts can't be placed in a feed and it's nearly impossible to work with more than a handful of drafts. Even if I schedule each tweet for June, 11th 2057, it gets sloppy and unorganized. Lastly, I don't know how I would post these scheduled drafts to each of the ~10 or 20 regional channel tabs I would have. If I only put it on one tab, then whichever region got to that post first would remove it from the list and the other regions wouldn't see it.
So as you can see, Hootsuite seems very close to working, but I can't see how it would be effective. There has to be a better way. Another alternative I considered was making a private Twitter account and only allowing the regional managers to follow me. They could check my feed for content but they wouldn't be able to retweet a private account. They would have to copy and paste everything, which again is not ideal.
Does anyone know of any tools that are better? Paid tools are not out of the question, but price is definitely a factor. Thanks! |

| I use Hootsuite for everything I do. I haven't really tried anything else. Have you checked out WildFire? They're owned by Google. Not sure of all of the features they have different from Hootsuite, but I was researching them for their Facebook Giveaway campaigns features. |
