Anyone been to Amelia Island? $49 flights through Southwest this fall convinced us to go there with the kids for fall break rather than our usual trip to Chicago or Sanibel Island. Anything you have to see, places you have to eat, etc. in the Amelia Island/Jacksonville area. If not, we'll sit on the beach for four days.
We just took our kids over Christmas - Try the new Omni resort. They have been renovating the property, and you can get a condo with a couple of rooms fairly inexpensively.
The main tourist old downtown has several restaurants, and are fine for kids. Make a day trip to St. Augustine for tourist things for the kids. The fort at Amelia Island is also a good excursion for kids.
