Hmmm... nope... looks like the opposite of 'missed' to me. |
So you consider both groups (1. rich people hiring disabled "tour guides" and 2. People with legitimate disabilities and their families) to be one in the same with regards to taking Disney up on this offering? |

I saw a story about this on our local news this morning. Disney is going to change this policy so those with a disabled person are unable to just go to the front of the line. They said they will give the family a ticket with a return time to get on the ride so they don't have to wait in line. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Okie Boarder, yep. Oct 9 new policy goes into effect. Exactly 4 days after our next visit.
Anyhow, this is a fair compromise IMO. Still, lots of people with legit reasons for the pass are not happy about it. It sucks for the legit folks, but Disney had to do something. _________________

Seems like a fair compromise to me, too. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Trust me when I tell you it's out of control and being abused like you would not believe. Not exaggerating. It is absolute commonplace to wait in line for 60 minutes, all the while watching groups of 5, 10, even 15 people with only 1 "disabled" in the group walk up the exit and on to the ride while the rest of us "normals" stand in line like the schlubs we apparently are.
I simply cannot understand why having a single disabled person in a group = VIP access for all. It makes no sense whatsoever. |
Tell that to Southwest Airlines.
In defense of a few of the disabled about standing in line for hours in the heat. Some are on medications that have severe adverse reaction with heat intolerance especially when standing out in the sun.
You ask then why chance it and go? - Well it's Disney- the happiest place on Earth.
Honestly how many on this site can say they've never been to Disney?
I've been to both - Disneyland multiple times as a kid and a hand full to DisneyWorld as a big kid.
As a matter of fact Food & Wine started this weekend, something I haven't been to in the decade I've spent out here. Need to go before I head back West just to say "I've been there, done that." _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |
