are slingshot wakeboards ok for kiteboarding? I am going in for lessons soon and I really don't feel like regretting buying a new wakeboard if I like the lessons and want to get a kiteboard. I know the kite is the most expensive part for kiteboarding but I would rather wakeboard with it and not have to get the kiteboard if it doesn't make too much of a difference for kiteboarding and have a new wakeboard because I have an old 2003 model. any thoughts?
thank you

Considering slingshot started off by making kiteboards and later incorporating that tech into their wakeboards I think it would work just fine. As far as bindings I currently have a pair of 11 LF Sovens and 12 Ronix Cells, the Cells are a lot lighter then the Sovens and more comfortable.

I found it much more difficult to get upwind when kitesurfing with a wakeboard, switched to a kiteboard and everything got easier.
You CAN kitesurf with a wakeboard but the rocker and fins are so different you will struggle to improve your kiting.
