What is going to throw the best Wakesurfing wake in 2013?

We currently have a 2009 Supra Launch 21V. The boat is fairly solid, but after getting behind a 2012 24 foot Enzo last year, it kinda ruined the boat for us.

With that said, speaking with the Centurion rep, the 24 foot wave and 23 foot wave are going to be practically indistinguishable, so we are leaning towards the SV233.

With that said, I did just go to the boat show and see the new G23 with the nautique surf system. From watching the videos, those tabs are definitely going to advance the sport, but I wasn't super impressed with the way the waves looked compared to a properly setup Enzo.

I don't think we can afford the G23, anyway. Not speaking over 100k for a boat.

Is it more of a gimmic in the current form, or should we seriously be considering that boat?

And is there something else out there we are missing.

Well Malibu has their Surf Gate of course, worth checking out. And you can also get the NSS on the 210 and 230.

I would test drive a few of those boats and see which ones throw the best wake for you. The G series is going to be super high in price. All the boat shows I saw them at the G23 was $120-130K and not one had the NSS on it. I would suggest that whatever surf boat you decide you want I would have them show up with the best wake they can delivery from the dealer. Did the Enzo you rode behind have a bunch of extra sacs? I have seen some enzo boats that are loaded down with thousands of lbs of ballast and they will throw a great surf wake so just make sure if you are going to test all these boats out you get them at the best wake they can make. Some dealers will not bring extra bags to a demo and you might not get to see exactly what you are getting.

Thanks, guys. I went with a new 2013 Enzo SV233. With 4300 pounds of stock ballast, and a proven wakesurfing hull, I think it is the best choice. I'm not sold on the surf gates/ NSS type stuff. I've watched a good number of videos, and I'm not super impressed with what I've seen.

Order right hand drive as well, so it will be a nice goofy wave Smile
